Cumbre Racing is owned & managed by husband & wife team Gavin and Heather Beever. They have had a lifetime association with horses and are committed to providing a quality racing and horse care experience to their clients (both horses and people!).

Owner communication and involvement with their horses is second to none and there are many activities and events throughout the year.

The flagship of the business is the Cumbre Partnership Racing Program. The program is an innovative and high quality horse syndication enterprise.

The racing program breeds and purchases quality bloodstock using a strict criteria and selection procedure. Horses are cared for, started and pre-trained at Cumbre and then raced with leading trainers. Horse care is designed to be holistic. Each animal is assessed individually. Trust based training is used and all nutrition and exercise regimes personalised.

The other key products are breaking in and agistment for outside clients. These utilise extensive experience in horse handling, riding and conditioning.

All services include access to and the support of a world class team of industry experts.

Cumbre Stud is in central Victoria, only 1.5 hours north of Melbourne, and 15 minutes south of Bendigo in the Sedgwick Valley. Being north of the divide, the stud offers an ideal climate and terrain for horses.

It is made up of 300 well-treed acres with hills and creek flats. All fencing and facilities are purpose built for horses. The property has irrigated flats in summer and is close to leading equine veterinary facilities. It is within easy traveling distance of major metropolitan and provincial trainers.

Cumbre has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere for both horses and people. Gavin and Heather live on the property with both sets of parents and their two boys. The families and the staff - Foreman Lora Jensen, Accounts Manager Jan Abbott, Admin Manager Ada Bull and Stable Hands Chloe Armstrong and Chloe Bailey are committed to providing an enjoyable and rewarding experience for the horses and their owners.
