2006 delivered to members mailboxes.
Well the autumn carnival is cranking into full gear
and Cumbre and our owners are very much looking forward to being a
part of it. We wish them all a lot of fun and good luck!!
Testa Reale
This three year old multiple stakes placed filly kicks her next preparation
off at Caulfield this Saturday. She will be in Race 2 a 3yo fillies
and mares race over 1100m at 12:50pm. She is targeted for the Yallambee
Classic Group 2 on March 13th in Adelaide, all going well.
Starspect
This filly is a city winner and has two wins and a second from three
starts. She resumes in the same race as Testa Reale on Saturday at
Caulfield. She also has a key target in Adelaide, the Schweppes Oaks
Group 1 on April 29, she has a bit of a campaign to go to get there,
but we wish all of you involved in her the best of luck.
Lady Lisbon
Another three year old filly, this one is coming up for her first
start this Sunday at Pakenham Cup Day in Race 6 a Class 1 over a 1000m.
She has shown promise in two trials winning the first and coming a
solid second in the next, it is always exciting getting one to the
races for the first time and we hope connections have a great day!
The result of coming races will help us cement plans for this nice
filly
Miss Annie
Miss Annie will trial at Cranbourne on Monday and then will have a
race start to commence her second preparation. She trialled well running
a nice second and then had two starts before Christmas for a third
and has been working very well this preparation. She will have a start
at either Echuca or Bendigo in the next couple of weeks to kick things
off for her. She is filly that is shaping up as a nice stayer and
will work up in her distances this preparation all going well.
Sedgwick
A lovely two year old filly by Favorite Trick out of Alternative Edge.
She is in pre-training at present and we will see how she continues
to progress, it is too early in her prep to be setting first starts.
She has a half brother by Testa Rossa sell to Gai Waterhouse at the
Gold Coast for $180,000 which franks this fillies value.
Paris Storm
By the Sire of the moment General Nediym, this two year old filly
has had a set back with a pulled shoulder muscle, but is expected
back in pre-training in the next week or so and will be taken from
there.
Johan Cruyff - Rose Aura
This filly is to have her naming day soon. She will be coming into
her first preparation in the autumn with the aim of a first start
as a late 2 year old early three year old.
Monashee Mountain - Rorys Twig
This as yet unnamed 2 yr old colt is working extremely well. He has
commenced fast work and all being well will be off to the races in
6 weeks or so. There are three shares remaining in this nice horse,
from a stakes winning half sister to Rory's Jester.
Iglesia - Star of Pearl
This three year old filly is well into her preparation towards her
first start. She is working very well and we expect to see her at
the races in 8 weeks or so. There are four shares available in this
filly whose grand dam won the Queensland Oaks Group 1.
Johan Cruyff - Liberty Slipper
Another three year old filly and another horse due for a naming day,
she commenced fast work this week as part of her first race preparation.
If she keeps going the way she is, she should be at the races in eight
weeks or so.
Grand Lodge - Assertive Lady
This filly will come into pre-training in the autumn with the aim
of racing in the spring as a three year old.
Hussonet - Precious Lass
A recent purchase at the Sydney Classic Sale. She will be offered
for syndication - anyone interested in information please send us
a quick email. She is out of a stakes placed Ashkalani mare by the
amazing Sire Hussonet. She is from his first Australian Crop, but
he is a Sire we have been watching for some time. The most successful
Mr Prospector son, he has the incredible statistics of 89% winners
to runners and 23% stakes winners to runners, she is a lovely athletic
filly, chestnut like her father.
That is all the horses in our program at present and where they are
at, enjoy following them all and we will keep you posted on their
respective journeys.
Happy Racing!!
Kind regards
Gavin and Heather Beever
