Breaking in is the most important education process in a horses life. For horses to reach their natural potential they must be physically and mentally sound, it is critical that breaking in provides the platform for that to be realised.

At Cumbre "it is all about the horse" and our love and passion for horses is reflected in the horses we turn out.

We use a trust based training technique to turn out calm, confident horses familiarised with the activities they will undertake in their careers ahead.

At the end of the training period your horse will -

• Stand quietly, be handled all over, groomed and have hooves cleaned.
• Lead on and halt when asked
• Be confident under saddle
• Walk, trot and canter up to 2000m comfortably
• Work in a balanced way, on both diagonals at the trot and both leads at the canter
• Stand in a wash bay and be washed
• Be able to be rugged
• Be able to have teeth checked and treated
• Be shod
• Walk into barriers, stand and then exit
• Load confidently in a float

Our price is $2000 plus GST and is inclusive of all handling, feeding, stabling/yarding and rugging. Exclusive of other costs such as shoeing, dentistry, veterinary and transport
